How to create breakout rooms in Google Meet
Are you running a larger group offsite
over Google Meet and want participants
to break up into smaller discussion groups
and then come back to the larger group?
Do you have a good idea in a virtual meeting
and want to huddle together with a group of smaller
participants?
No need to set up a separate meeting.
Just set up breakout rooms in Google Meet in one easy step.
I’m Laura Mae Martin, Google’s productivity advisor,
here to show you how to work your space in Google Workspace.
Today, we’ll show you how to set up
breakout rooms in Google Meet.
In a Google Meet that you set up where you are the owner,
click on the Activities button, then Breakout Rooms.
From there, set up each room, and choose settings
like how many rooms, setting a timer
to have participants come back to the larger room,
decide who is in each room, or even just shuffle participants.
So there you have it.
